liquidity.

I can only speak for USD-N which is WAVES stablecoin. you can see the Smart Contract that holds the WAVES tokens, so its transparent.

Mamat Rohimat
Is it fully backed by USD? Stable Coin need honest keeper and fully backed up

You need to trust the code. Also with stablecoins they all go out of peg. sometimes they are underfunded, sometimes over funded. The way USD-N works is that the VALUE of the WAVES it holds in the contract SHOULD equal 1 USD = 1 USD-N when it comes to the amount of USD-N that have been minted.

Mamat Rohimat
I don't trust code. Stable coin must be fully backup. Otherwise, it is scam

if you don't trust the code don't use it. But you need to make your arguement as to why its a scam or else you are just spreading fud

The definition of stable coin is 1:1 fully backup by underlying assets, USD. It should redeemable with USD.If it is underfunded, then it is scam

Jonathan
stablecoins can be backed by other assets, not just USD. I hope you don't think USDT is 100% backed by fiat.

That, USDT is actually scam in terms of USD value. It is previously marketed as USD stable coinIt is actually wrongly managed.USDC seems proper than USDT

As long you can exchange it with real cash is fine

correct. when the peg is maintained you should be able to exchange 1:1 with USD.

Only thing concerns me is hoe much is the fees.

I believe there is a fee to use the neutrino platform to mint USD-N. You can also consider the spread between USD/USD-N as a fee. Once the trading pairs get super liquid the best way to buy will be through the DEX, unless you need a large amount of USD-N then at that point using Neutrino platform will be cheaper.

Despite the problem with USDT the benefit would be the ability to send it back and forth very fast between Waves Exchange, Binance, etc.

USDC and PAX are more reliable alternatives but USDT is most common, best liquidity, and has most utility for transferring between exchanges. So I'd love to see USDT on Waves for that allone.

I was saying a big part of the utility is cross exchange aspect. If USDN is Waves only then just use WUSD, though Coinomat gets a lot of complaint.

coinomat will close its service soon .. there are currently discussions with new fiat gateway providers

Statements on wUSD/wEUR and Tether (USDT)With the move to Waves.Exchange, we are informing about operation of the existing fiat-backed stablecoins (wUSD and wEUR), and adding Tether USD (USDT).wUSD and wEURMigration from the Waves DEX to the new Waves.Exchange involves resolving not only numerous technical issues, but also several legal ones. Waves DEX users have previously used the Coinomat gateway services to trade with fiat funds. Due to the restructuring, Coinomat will not be able to act as a fiat operator for Waves.Exchange. This means two things:1. Waves.Exchange is looking for a new fiat deposit/withdrawal partner. Negotiations are currently underway with several companies. Once these have been concluded, deposits and withdrawals of wUSD and wEUR will be resumed within the new exchange setup. Until then, we want to assure wUSD and wEUR holders that their assets are fully backed with fiat, and are worth 1 USD and 1 EUR, respectively.2. Waves.Exchange will not be limited to a single provider, and the deposit/withdrawal process will be greatly simplified over time.USDTWe are completing the preparatory work for the launch of USDT according to the ERC-20 standard. After December 2, this asset will appear on the exchange dashboard. The USDT gateway will go live before the end of this year.

Ya, I saw USDT mentioned in another announcement which is a good thing.

also neutrino will launch more stable coins, based on oil, silver and more ..how many of those do you know? .. pretty stupid to hate against it imo

That would heal through arbitrage if there's easy transfers of USDT out to other exchanges and such

Yes, Sasha also told in AMA that 1wusd will be 1usdt but currently there's a huge price difference with other exchange like Binance.

Also there will be a trading pair of wusd/usdt.

We explore some of the different options on the market, before explaining how Waves Enterprise goes about addressing this issue - and why we have taken those decisions.
